Tet-Trung-Thu:Mid Autumn Festival

Celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month. (Sept.) This festival is a reward given to children at harvest time. Children who's parents have been toiling in the fields. Complete with dragon dances, animal art making and lanterns.

Hanging with the locals!

Our friend Wayne from So Cal trying out the local fare. We actually ate lunch at this infamous Noodle Shop. The pictures behind these two are the ancestors of this shop owner. The ancestors he was so proud to tell us were Viet Cong. This is where they sat to plan the Tet Offensive of 1968.

Recycling Sai Gon Style!!

Views from our balcony!

Our second family car in front of our apartment door.

5 Days in Malaysia: Tioman Island

On our way to the Turtle Sanctuary we met up with these curious little monkeys, rolling around and making a big ole ruckus!! We found out these turtle hatchlings were born that same morning.

Sunset on Coral Island or shark island!

Only I call it Shark Island because this is where I saw my first (3) Reef Sharks!!...but I had no camera with me. I'll never make that mistake again!!

5 Days in Malaysia: Tioman Island

Prop Plane we took over to the island. Cool island landing strip--
Coral Island where we snorkled a lot!
Too much sun for John and Patti!

Five Days in Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur

A beautiful little...big capital city of about a million people. Amazing rail and monorail systems. Super friendly people. Parliament building, guards and me in front of the Palace of the King and Queen of Malaysia. And of course the Petronas Twin Towers. Third tallest in the world. Burj Dubai finished last year is now the tallest!
